Today I almost finished the quiet book page with the big red bauble (see previous entry; it's the upper left corner of the whole thing). Mine is slightly different: white feathers instead of green ones, flower-shaped beads instead of star-shaped ones (one has to use what's available), and the background will be sewn full of star-shaped gold sequins. So far I've finished all the important parts, only the sequins that go to the left side are to be don yet, so I'm well pleased.

Other than that, I made a food run to Aldi - we now have a plan what to cook in the upcoming three days or so - and lazed around in front of the telly while sewing. We ate leftovers, which left us marginally hungry, so I believe a substantial supper is in order. *g*

I met IT guy from the neighbourhood on my way out. He finally got around to take a look at the iPad mini, and there's a chance it can't be fixed. So I'll have to get a new one. *sigh* It isn't the money that's the problem - I've saved the costs for 3 years' worth of missed holidays - but the getting used to a brand new piece of tech. *shudders*

Damn, it's too bad if your iPad can't be fixed anymore. Hopefully Apple OS hasn't changed so much over the years, or you can find one with a version of the operating system that isn't all too different. Good luck with that.

Good luck with the new iPad. Apple devices are so user-friendly that I had no problems adapting to my new iPad; wishing you the same good experience!

Oh how I sympathise! We have also spent below our income over the past 2 years and so when it comes to this sort of thing it really is just the horror of having to get to grips with new stuff.

And that horror is real enough!

Poor you! Braving electronic stuff is a hard thing to do! I am lucky, because my children are of help then...
