Userpic (the heraldic device of Lord Orchaldor of Halabor) chosen to celebrate the fact that I've actually written today. No, really. Okay, only two or three sentences, but I have. I also went through the transcript I'd printed out yesterday to see what of the original (screen) dialogue can be used in my very AU version of the episode, who'd get which lines and so on, since half of the characters have been replaced with other ones. Now I'm getting a vague idea what it's gonna look like, but I'll have to re-watch the Primeval episode to get the facts and visuals right because the transcript only contains the dialogue.

Crafting-wise not much happened. I did some more sequin sorting, but not very much. Didn't feel like crafting today. Also, had to cook for today and the next two days, since on those I'm gonna have chores upon chores. So I made Shepherd's Pie, which will last until Tuesday. I'll think of something to cook on Wednesday again.

H (little Emma's grandmother) called an hour or so ago. The entire family has Covid - again! Well, the children don't, but all the adults do, so the kiddies are at home in quarantine with them... and that about a week after school and kindergarten has started. Perhaps the family visit to Germany wasn't such a good idea, after all. My goddaughter and her husband are having a mild case, but H is fairly miserable, with fever, coughing, a sore throat and extreme weakness. Not the best thing for someone with an already weakened heart. *sigh*

As for us, we're still doing well. *fingers crossed* Mum is steeling herself for tomorrow's cleaning frenzy. I'm trying to keep my extreme dislike for the same under control. I know it has to be, especially in a crowded flat with wall-to-wall carpets in all rooms. It doesn't mean I have to like it, though.

I hope they'll be okay.

So do I. They refused to get the jabs because they'd already had Covid once and thought the antibodies would be enough... Of course, my cousin got Covid despite 4 shots, so you really don't know what to do.

Yeah, it's not an immunizing vaccine, so you're just as likely to get it and to pass it on. They weren't very transparent about that at first, and mostly still aren't.

I hope the family is okay...

Glad to hear you managed some writing! I like that heraldic device :)

Pretty, isn't it? An Internet friend — I think it was [livejournal.com profile] archet, but I'm not sure anymore — made it for my Halabor stories.

Oh how lovely!

I remember when I was much younger, inventing a whole range of (simple, because I am not very artistic) flags for some of my fictional countries...

I need to get back to my knitting — and consider card making again.

You hardly hear any mention of covid here now, although I must check whether I still need to do a test next week before a hospital appointment.

After all those grieving masses spending days in each other's pockets I wouldn't be surprised if the numbers had gone up over there.

I hope the family will be back to good health soon! And thumbs up for writing! I fear I will have to reread the Unfinished Tales! That name didn´t ring any bell within me at first!

Not surprising, as both Halabor and its Lord are my creations. They feature prominently in my Halabor stories (what a surprise, is it?), which can be found here (https://archiveofourown.org/series/660092), as well as in some stories of the Sons of Gondor (https://archiveofourown.org/series/36189) tales.

I remember looking at the crowds, lining the streets, in London yesterday, and thinking that the city is probably going to suffer another wave of Covid in a few days. Sadly, it is a fact we are all having to learn to live with.
