So, I hopped down to Aldi
Sep. 12th, 2022 06:09 pm... because we had neither milk nor yogurt in the house and we can't do without either of them. I'll spare you the list of things that got more expensive since Thursday. :(
I made a fake Tiramisu, which we ate after the leftover tomato soup. As things look right now, tomorrow we'll have the same for lunch, but that's okay. We don't mind eating the same things two or three days in a row, especially, as it means that we don't have to cook for a day or two.
Mum didn't feel well today - she had cold shivers and was very weak - although I suspect that the last part was due to washing the dishes, which took more time than usual. Anyway, I have her an Aspirin and now she's back on her feet again, heading for the kitchen sink because we have a pot and a few plates from lunch that need to be washed... in her opinion anyway. I've stopped arguing about that part.
I've finished the sunny yellow little angels and sorted out some more tiny sequins. All little silver stars are now picked out of the pile; tomorrow I'll start on the snowmen and perhaps do a bit more sequin work. Not too much, though, since we've got choir practice on Tuesdays, which means I need to leave the house in the early afternoon. If the physiotherapist isn't too late, I might even get into the little shop for sewing supplies before practice, but that's by no means certain.
My friend Evie called an hour or so ago. I so enjoy talking to her. She's a nice person, and we always laugh a lot, which is very important in these days.

Date: 2022-09-14 05:30 pm (UTC)Aldi is a very good chain; I like it a lot. The prices are not worse than anywhere else, and they offer a wide variety of products, from bread to sewing machines.
