The userpic has absolutely nothing to do with the subject; it's just one I happen to like and don't get to use often enough because of my obsession to match my userpic with my topic. Yeah, I'm weird, I know.

So, we had laundry day, I boiled some pasta to the Champingonfleisch I'd cooked in advance and allowed Mum to talk me out of making the tomato soup today. Tomorrow is another day, and we'll eat the leftover pasta with grated cheese. Yum!

I also got to do some crafting. I've finished the 4 turquoise angels (the missing silvery grey one still hasn't shown up - I'm planning to take things out of the waste paper basket, piece by piece, in the unlikely case it might have ended up there), fixed the wings of the sunny yellow ones and finally sorted the medium-size star-shaped sequins. Now I only have to finish sorting the tiny ones, which is the worst part of the whole thing, but part of it is already done, so finishing it is only a question of a year or five...

The usual Saturday afternoon programme on German TV was cancelled because of the British royal news and was afterwards replaced by a documentary on the Queen's life. Unfortunately, it was one that I've seen at least twice already on the Hungarian channel called Fem3 during the platinum jubilee, so I opted out. It's impractical when my usual crap programmes get cancelled - not good for crafting!

Other than that, not much happened. I'm trying to bring up the mental energy to finally do some writing, but no luck so far. *sigh*

I finished the 4 turquoise angels

The Royal stuff went on all day on RTL and on ZDF for a while, too. I'm sure it will be the same tomorrow and afterwards until the funeral.

I do not watch British TV because I cancelled my licence, but I imagine everyone here, even the staunchest royalists, are by now getting fed up with the endless reruns of the same documentaries.

I have not watched much of the 24/7 coverage of the Queen's death and the King's accession, but there was an interesting programme about the portraits painted of her since her accession, and I have just had the coverage of her coffin going from Balmoral to Edinburgh on in the background, which was peaceful and showed the countryside the cortege travelled through.

You're not the only one, I like to match the userpic to the topic too. :)

I like the idea of the silver angel flying off... Please go through your waste basket! I had the same problem a few days ago- I had to buy superglue to fix a plastic ring, put the ring onto a piece of paper, so that I´d fix it when coming back, and just before I left for the shop I collected all sheets of paper on the table and threw them into the paper bank, plastic ring included. I am such a dork!

Well, the little angel wasn't in the waste paper basket. I've gone through all imaginable places by now and will have to admit defeat. I'm sure the angel will show off at the most unexpected time — like next Easter or so. ;)

Wish you inspiration for your writing. Hope the missing angel turns up soon. Odd how things seem to disappear like that, happens to me more often than not.

Yeah, I know. We've been looking for two towels, a veggie peeler, Mum's favourite eating knife and a few other things for months — to no end. Granted, the knife and the peeler might have accidentally ended up in the rubbish bin, but two towels?
