... because we can't opt out of those, now can we? *g*

In any case, I started the day at Lidl, since they bring out the new sales on Thursdays. Then I cooked for two days in advance (so that I can either have another lazy day together or, if I can bring up the energy, go to the craft shop for a change), took Mum out for a short walk (too short, but there was thunder and we turned back, since she can't exactly run back, should it start raining - it didn't) and stitched on the sequin headbands to the 4 little angel heads. That's all the crafting I managed today, but better than nothing, right?

I also had a nice phone chat with my friend Evie and vegetated in front of the telly a bit. I'm so frigging low on energy in these days, even though the start of choir practice did give me a boast. *sigh*

I think those days between late summer and real autumn are always the worst. No energy, no motivation...

I've had those days for quite a few months by now. :(

A lot of my friends, and me, are low on energy these days. I think this hot summer has pretty much drained us all.

Actually, last summer was much worse for us, with the insulation works and all. There were several weeks when even the blinds had been removed, so that the heat could come in unhindered. But three summers with various kinds of renovation works in a row were simply too much, I think. Especially as there was nothing in-between to relax a bit.

Can totally relate to the low energy! Everything is so much effort nowadays. Choir practice sounds like it was just what you need!

It was uplifting indeed.

There's talk of thunder storms here on Saturday, but East Yorkshire seems to have missed all the rain and thunder that happened elsewhere in the UK so far, so I'm not holding my breath on that.

I think we're all exhausted after 2 1/2 years of pandemic (restrictions) and the long hot summer and what not ...

And as much as I love Mum and don't mind taking care of her, it means even more restrictions. *sigh*

Wish you more relaxing days like the one before. Glad you are once again able to attend choir practice and sing away your troubles.

Choir practice is my main consolation in these days.
