Pausbackige Engelchen

The first batch of my rosy-faced little angels is now finished:



They are a bit (a BIT?) more sparkly than the original, and the faces turned out more ruddy than originally planned, even though I used a pale pink felt-tipped pen, but other than that I like them just fine. I'll have to look around in my craft cupboard for more felt rests, because all other ornaments have at least a set of 10 - having only 8 angels just wouldn't do, right?

This project has also moved a bit forward the sorting of the star-shaped sequins - not that I'd have finished it, it's a nightmarish work (and no Cinderella around to give me a hand), but I've made some progress, so that's good.

Other than crafting, I went to the shops today because we needed to stock up toilet paper, paper tissues and the likes. Then I took out Mum for a walk because she needs to be more out of the house and in the fresh air. Then we did the laundry (or rather Louise, our washing machine did it, but it still requires lots of preparation), and when this was all done, we simply collapsed. Mum made a quick soup and we ate leftovers from yesterday.

Since German TV dropped my favourite Saturday programme in exchange for endless documentaries about the British Royal Family, I decided to take a nap instead. Baking has been postponed for tomorrow - I'm about to try my hand on millionaire's slices; we'll see what comes out of it!

There are definitely two angels missing! And you are so right, I was so overwhelmed by the excess supply of Royal documentaries that I had to turn my TV off.

Especially as those were documentaries I've already seen on various Hungarian channels repeatedly. I actually do like the Royal family, but there is such a thing as too much of the good stuff. More so if they keep showing Hasbeen and Meagain, whom I couldn't stand from the beginning.

The angels came out really cute!

I admit, I've watched the goings on on TV. Queen Elizabeth II started her reign the year I was born, and I have always had a fondness and profound respect for her, may she rest in peace. I also like the now, King Charles III, for his concern for the earth and environment. In that respect, he has my admiration, as he practices what he preaches.
As far as the rest, the more personal aspect of his life and that of the other Royals, i.e., the big soap opera, I have no interest. Although, I do pity those in the public eye, whose dirty laundry is more likely to be revealed for all the world to see.

People tend to blame the media for everything, but let's be honest, the media just delivers what the masses want. If people would ignore the sh*t that is published, they'd stop publishing. It's all about money, in the end.
