In the morning I packed all books and DVDs that were in the small cabinets into sturdy plastic bags and placed them on the corridor, along the wall of our flat.

Then I worked a bit on my Three Kings felts - all ten trios are now taped together, and half of them are even stitched together and equipped with hangings. I also sorted out another three pinches of tiny, tiny star-shaped sequins.

After lunch Mum and I went for a walk because she needs fresh air from time to time, too.

In the afternoon I cleaned the floor of the anteroom and the balcony, because we won't put the freshly cleaned carpets back onto a dirty floor. Yes, we do have carpets on the balcony, too, since it is a closed one and we use it as an additional room; one that doesn't have heating, but - unfortunately - it has flowing water, whenever the rain hits it in a certain angle. *g*

At least I didn't have to cook today. We had leftovers, and decided to postpone the tomato soup as the kitchen is choking full with all the good china we transferred from the living room, so that the cabinets could be moved.

I told Mum, though, that I'd move out if anything else would pop up before the rest of the year.

It's difficult for the moment, but I imagine it will be so nice to have clean carpets. I consider mine clean if I have run the vacuum cleaner over the bits I can see. ;)

The problem with wall-to-wall carpets is that they swallow dust in ungoldy amounts, so they simply need to be washed once a year. And for that one needs professional equipment — and one who can actually use said equipment. (hint: not me, obviously)

A balcony turned into some sort of housing space is good value!
