A rather unremarkable day

But sometimes those are good for one's soul.

Not that I'd have been lazy, mind you. I've finished the cleaning, cooked lunch (if anyone wants the lemon chicken recipe with coriander, I can post it), did a tiny bit of crafting - and then just collapsed in front of the telly. The heat is back, 38°C today, and thanks to the latest big speech of our brainless fearless leader, our national currency has plunged into new depths. After that speech understandable, but that doesn't make the consequences easier for us.

Wrote another half a page or so for "The Old Terror". By this speed I won't live enough to finish the dratted story, really.

I talked to two friends on the phone briefly, and now I'm determined to be lazy for the rest of the day.

I have reached the point where I don't watch any 'news' from one week to the next. I used to try and catch it every day, but it's just same old, same old nowadays.

I don't watch them, either. Mum tends to take a look at the headlines, with the volume turned off, just to see how our currency stands. Same old would be almost a relief; it gets worse each day.
