... to put it mildly. So we took it easy. I was crafting most of the day while having Auf Streife and its assorted spin-offs running in the background (good for my German vocabulary), we ate leftovers from yesterday, and the greatest distance we walked was to the garbage chute at the end of the corridor.

Our cleaning lady has gone down with Covid - since she was here on Monday, chances are that she's shared it with us, but I've already exhausted my capacity of being afraid when the war broke out. So we'll just wait and see what happens.

I talked to Elise and Evie on the phone. We discussed the heat and small personal items. Still, it is good to hear from friends now and then.

Tomorrow will be more exciting, as the hairdresser is coming in the morning - Mum is getting a long overdue perm.

The Candy Princess quiet book is making good progress. I've made the page base for Page #7 and cut out assorted parts of the central motif (the mermaid). I hope to finish the whole page by the weekend, and then I'll have one more left before it comes to the dreaded book binding.

I hope you don't catch it — but I have reached that point, too, where I just suppose I will get it at some time, and can only hope when it does hit it is mild.

Oh noes ... hope you didn't catch it. Fingers crossed!

We had a cool day here today, only 22°. I had to close the windows in the morning as I got cold feet! Back to 30° tomorrow ...

They promise it will be slightly cooler during the weekend (whatever that might mean), but next week will be hot again.

And yeah, I do hope we haven't caught the virus. Unfortunately, there are still too many ways to get it. I go to the supermarket twice a week, after all...

Ouch, that sucks! Currently this pest is spreading like mad! Now that there´s medication to fight the virus in case you caught it, they still insist on a vaccine which does not work the way it´s supposed to, and diligently forget about ordering medication enough. Banana republic !

There is medication? I haven't even heard of it. Over here, if you catch it, you just lie low until it goes away.

That´s what we do, too. Because medication won´t get to the pharmacies by itself, you have to order it. But first we ´ll have to use up the vaccine that got ordered once upon a time, the one that does not work properly!

I hope you didn't catch it! I'd see a doctor asap if you do develop symptoms since there are anti-viral meds now that can help fight it. But they have to be taken as soon as possible, I think in under five days.

I never heard that there are meds for it now — it is entirely possible that there aren't any over here, of course. The priorities of our fearless leader can be... strange sometimes. All the time, actually.

There have been anti-viral meds for quite a while, like Tamiflu if you get influenza. Now we have several drugs that help against Covid too:

Well, it has been six days since we met her, and so far nothing. *fingers crossed that it stays that way*

My hair is badly in need of a cut, but I always seem to be able to find something else to spend my money on.

I usually go to the hairdresser's three times a year: before Christmas (that is, right before our Christmas concert, assuming we have one), somewhen between Easter and the end of May (to look halfway civilized on our last concert, again, assuming we have one) and before my birthday in October, in case I might have guests.

After a while you just can't live in constant fear anymore. Especially as we've got other, even worse things to be afraid of. Like the war at our border. :((
