Lying low

...because it's still frigging hot over here, and will remain so for the rest of the week. Which is why I'll be doing my shopping tomorrow around 7am, right when Aldi opens its gates. That's the plan anyway, assuming I'll be able to get up in time.

Still, I managed to make good progress on the back cover of the Candy Princess quiet book. I chose a bird house in a tree as the central motif and it's turning out quite lovely, even though a bit... err... colourful. ;)) All I'll need to do tomorrow or the day after is to fix the birds with ribbons, so that they can take their turn in the bird house, and to stitch on the blue strip representing the sky and two bushes on the bottom, behind which the birds can hide.

Other than that, not much happened. We had a visit from the physiotherapist lady, I made a quick lunch, and we're still vegetating in front of the telly. I had a nice phone chat with our choir leader, analysing our concert, and that was all about social life today.

I am quite glad of our weather — it was sunny today — and around 20C. That is about my favourite temperature I think. I don't envy you yours.

It is really a bit too hot for my taste, but it isn't so that we wouldn't be used to it. That's continental climate for you. You don't have to like it (I certainly don't), but since you can't change it, the best thing is to clench your teeth and endure. ;)

It is beautifully cool here this morning and I have both the front and back doors open to air out the house. I hope you get some cooler weather soon.

I wish I could air the flat the same way, but all our windows look into the same direction and the entrance door opens to a closed corridor. *sigh*

It's very hot here too. I could never get up that early, so I do outside things during the evening hours even if it means staying out until 10 PM.

I'm not an early riser myself (to put it mildly), but needs must. And I need to go to Aldi right after it opens, or else I won't get the stuff they have on sale. It is hopeless later on.
