Bad crafting luck

I wanted to do the other half of the Velcro job today, so that the match-the-colour page would be out of my hair. Yet after two pieces my fingers hurt so much that I had to stop. So I decided to work a bit on the seaming of two already finished pages that I had stitched together a week or so ago. Unfortunately, I pinned down the seam the wrong way - and my English truly isn't good enough to explain what the problem was, I'm sorry - so I had to undo the one measly side that I managed to seam in its entirety.

At that point I gave up. It is too hot for so much stress, and weather forecast promises temperatures up to 37 degrees next week. Just what we need on a cleaning day, isn't it?

Our cleaning lady has a firmly established schedule as she works for many different places and individuals. She comes every other Monday. We do the small cleaning jobs in-between, but neither of us can climb any higher than the third step of a ladder, for example, or move heavy furniture alone, so we need help.

37 degrees! That’s awful. That’s the kind of summers we have here, and it absolutely sucks. Every summer I wish I lived somewhere else. I hate the heat. Hope your hot days pass and it gets better soon!

Ugh I'm hating the heat waves this summer. Today it's cooler and rainy and I'm enjoying it before the next heat blast comes.

We've been living in this ten-storey concrete monstrosity since 1977 and have suffered from the heat every summer, as our windows are all on the same side, looking south-east.

The last thing I´d be tempted to do with 37 degrees outside is crafting! Some things aren´t supposed to get done at high temperatures!
