This and that

We had a visit from the chiropodist lady... the talkative one. Now we have functioning feet again... and Mum a bit of a headache from all the talk. ;)

I've made another jar of strawberry jam today. In exchange Mum volunteered to make the carrot soup (not curiouswombat's one but yummy nonetheless), and I made a potato omelet with new potatoes.

Google has made good of its threat; I'm now unable to get my mail or access anything Google-related via my iPad mini. Apparently, one needs to download a special app and remove the mail box and whatnot - all things I can't do alone. Fortunately, my friend Evie, who is a doll, promised to drag over her eldest, an IT specialist by trade, and make him do this for me. *fingers crossed*

I've also made some moderate progress with the new quiet book. The castle puzzle page, in what noadvertising would call candy colours, is finished. Tomorrow I'll make serious attempts to do the front page, as it is of a very easy design. We'll see how far I can get with it.

I hate the growing modern trend of tying you into one particular 'brand' of tech. I have a Google Chromebook, that I keep for emergency use only, because it does not use Windows.
