Just a quick report
May. 31st, 2022 08:45 pmI've nearly finished the castle puzzle page for Janka's quiet book. Six out of the nine puzzle pieces are finished, Velcro and embellishments for the remaining three are sewn on - all I have to do tomorrow is to stitch those together, and then I can go on to start with the front page.
Today we didn't cook much; had Wiener Würstchen for lunch. Mum ate two pieces from the Dorset apple cake I baked two days ago. I didn't dare to eat from that just yet, even though my digestion has calmed down by today. Fortunately, we had visitors yesterday who were both offered sizeable chunks of the cake, so nothing will go to waste.
We had a visit from the physiotherapist lady. Mum is always in a fairly good mood after these sessions, as the lady is a friendly, cheerful and competent one. Lately, she started working on Mum's right shoulder as well (the one ruined by the mugging and the following incompetent treatment at the hospital some 19 or so years ago), and as a result Mum can now lift her right arm several inches higher than she'd been able ever since.
I went to choir practice, which was lovely as always. On my way there I dropped into the sewing supply shop and bought some buttons, ribbons and clasps I might need for future quiet books. One can never have enough craft supplies.
So, it was a good day altogether. I like days like these.
