That I did today. Had to go to the small Savoy Park shopping centre I dropped in to several shops like Kik, Pepco and Tedi, to look for craft supplies. I bought some sparkly pom-poms at Kik, with heart and star felt stickers, and at Pepco I found lovely hard felt sheets - even patterned ones, which is a rarity! I might go back tomorrow and buy some more because such things tend to pop up rarely and then vanish forever.

I also made some progress with the quiet books. Book #1 is all but done, I only need to stitch along one side of the spine and fasten the clasp with which to close it. Book #2 has half the spine sewn on; I'll continue with the binding of the pages tomorrow. If everything goes well, I'll finish them both this week. *fingers crossed*

Of course, this makes me think that I ought to make one for Elise's third granddaughter who'll have her birthday just a couple of weeks after the boys. Theoretically, I should be able to do it until the beginning of October - and making a very different, very girl-ish book would be fun.

On the other hand, I really, really need to get Kindred Spirits out of my hair during the July session of [livejournal.com profile] picowrimo. Decisions, decisions...

Yay retail therapy!

A girl one will be cute.

I've already made a doll house one a couple of years ago, for two girls, but this one — should I indeed make it — will be different.

If you have ample time to do it... which I hardly ever do!

That sounds like a lot of progress. I am also jealous that you have so many places to buy craft supplies.

Alas, the best ones have closed or moved to worse locations.

Oh, definitely! I'd like a free day just once for each and every one!

Well, I´d love to visit a craftshop, but there aren´t any here! You must be a sight to behold when shopping there!

You would laugh yourself silly. I'm agonizing in front of the shelves, looking at my watch every five minutes because I never really have the time to do my craft shopping in peace, trying to decide whether I really need this or that, and if I do whether I can actually afford it or could get cheaper somewhere else...

Lucky little ones who receive your books. Items made with love are so precious.

That is what I keep telling myself whenever I'm not quite content with the outcome — which is always. *g*
