Well, this one anyway.

After nearly 5 weeks without problems, my digestion was playing up in the very early morning again. Which not only meant the unpleasant effects but also the loss of more than an hour of sleep, which was equally draining. I'm much better now, thankfully, but it meant another day on a diet of yogurt, bananas, toast, boiled potatoes and apple compote. I actually like those things, but it gets old after a while.

I've made decent progress with the deep sea pages, though. Page #1 is now completed, and I'd have finished Page #2 as well, had Der Blaulicht Report not ended half an hour too early. I find that I can sew best while watching early afternoon TV with half an eye during the process. Ah, well, tomorrow is another day. And I still have time to finish the books until September. I just want to be done with them as soon as possible - this project has taken too long.

Afterwards, I forced myself to write a few paragraphs for the last chapter of Kindred Spirits. It isn't very inspired stuff, mostly loose ends that need to be tied up before I can post it. The Epilogue is already more or less done; now if I could finish this filler stuff I could get the whole story out of my hair, which is about time, I'd say.

A talked on the phone to H., Little Emma's grandmother. She was a bit under the weather, the poor thing, but that's not really surprising. She's been in and out of the dentist's practice for a week, and an end is not yet within sight.

They seem to return in random intervals without any visible reason — unless stress counts.

I hope you feel better again soon! I know how boring a bland diet can be, even if I normally like those things too, so you have my full sympathy. *hugs*

Thanks. The funny thing is, I usually can eat just about everything, and we tend to eat the same things periodically without any ill effects. Then boom! out of the blue, I get the runs. It's either the stress, or a lasting effect of the Covid vaccine, or I having caught the virus itself without recognizable symptoms — or any combination of these three. Because I certainly didn't have such problems before February 2021!

Strange! I know this question is rich coming from me (LOL) but have you seen a doctor?

No. There aren't any I would trust, and I don't want them experiment on me.

As long as our old family doctor was alive we could go to him for advice, even though he was retired (he lived in the next street). But the one in the practice now always makes me feel as if she's bored by her patients. She was good for giving an attest so that one didn't have to go to work when one felt under the weather (it happened to me once a year, usually), but for little else.

Sounds like the doctor we have here, both bored and incompetent. We had an excellent doctor in Mannheim, but sadly he is no more. :(

Yeah, it seems I'll have to live with such recurrances for the rest of my life. Well, it's unpleasant, but as long as it doesn't get any worse...

I'm sorry about the upset digestion again — mine has been doing likewise but in my case I know the cause and it is entirely my own fault. (Sourdough pizza two nights...)

The most annoying part is that I never know what sets it off — although this time it might be that the jam drops hadn't been baked through properly.

I hope you can get back to less boring eating soon. I used to like watching music vids of my favourite Chinese TV shows whilst sewing, but the format they're in will not play on my TV from my hard drive, now that I no longer have a usable HDMI port. I really need to start sewing again, because I'm eating instead.

Well, eating is a good pastime, too, as any Hobbit worth his or her salt would tell you. ;))
