Wednesday is for lazing around

At least this week. So I did laze around - save for the daily Mum-caring routine and some crafting. I've finally got around to make the fish-feeding part of the deep sea page (at least one of them), decided to redo one of the jellyfish because I wasn't happy with it, sewn on the other one as well as one of the seahorses. That should be enough for a lazy day, right?

We still had some leftovers, so I didn't even have to cook, except a Tütensuppe with the water in which I had boiled the asparagus. Mum made apple compote. That was the amount of cooking in our house.

Today was sunny and beautiful, so Mum felt like leaving the house. We had a nice walk; a short but pleasant one. So we're ready to be lazy again for the rest of the day.

Tütensuppe is sometimes just the thing. Great idea to save asparagus water to make it with, and I'll do that next time I have asparagus.

I've done it with water I blanched beans in to can in jars. Normally when cooking vegetables, I salt them pretty heavily, though, so I'm thinking the soup might get too salty. On the other hand, I always do have to throw salt into Tütensuppe since the manufacturers started putting a ridiculously low amount of salt into it. I'll give it a try! :)
