A lovely visit with an old friend

Ilonka came today to fetch The Thing of Beauty for her pregnant daughter, who happens to have the same name. We haven't met for at least two years, due to Covid, so both Mum and I were very excited. Since one has to offer such a dear guest something yummy, I baked these in the morning:



These are simple lemond-ginger biscuits, with lime icing and decorated with a small piece of candied ginger. The dough yielded 41 cookies - we still have 5 or 6 of them. *g*

Ilonka liked The Thing of Beauty very much and was sure her daughter will love it, too, so I'm happy.

And now I'm waiting for IT guy who's promised to call me after 9 o'clock and deal with the Kaspersky and Gmail issues. *fingers crossed*

Sure, as soon as I am back at my desktop PC. The recipe is in German, but that would hardly bother you, right?

Take your time, and thank you in advance. German is my native tongue, and I actually like our recipes since they use grams instead of imperial measures, or ounces or any of that nonsense. LOL!

Yes, especially with baking since that's more chemistry than cooking. I have a friend in the US who's a professional baker and she says she converts any new recipe from imperial measures to metric weight measures because that's just more accurate. I have sets of imperial cups and spoons, but really...I prefer our system with baking.

Glad you were able to visit with your friend. The biscuits look pretty and yummy. Before I read your text, I thought they were store purchase and the red Liebe in the background was a box top, lol.
