Yesterday I've sewn on 19 pieces of Velcro. Now my fingertips hurt when I touch warm water. Today I chose sewing relatively soft stuff only, but I was very industrious: one of the castle puzzle pages is completed, and it looks great, if I say so myself. Still no photos, as it is still raining and the sky is overcast all day - the iPad mini needs more daylight than what's available, so we'll have to wait.

Yesterday I also iced the coconut lambs and today I did the same for some of the Nutella bunnies. I expect to do the rest when we've returned from the elections in the morning.

On Monday I'll have to deal with the energy company. Apparently, our gas bill hasn't been paid, although I'd gone to the dratted bank back in early February already to give the order, and I've got the paper to prove it. And this after the big window cleaning and the cleaning-related unpleasantness that is also due on Monday. *insert really, really bad words*

A long time ago I had the same issue with the electric company. They said I hadn't paid my bill for four months in a row even though I had and had the cancelled checks to prove it and the bank backed me up. I was so pissed. Turns out they weren't bothering to record the fact that I had paid my bills.

It is so annoying to deal with idiots when you know you're right!

It's not entirely impossible that the bank made a mistake. They've got a lot of incompetent people there, too.

I have (literal) nightmares about my utilities being shut off even though I have paid the bill. Weird, huh? I think I dream about it because it is so frightening and frustrating to have this happen. I hope you resolve this satisfactorily.

Oh dear, I hope you can sort this out! Providers here have begun to shut out people, because they want way more money for gas but cannot rise the prices the way they want with some contracts. So those clients have to go...

As I said above in my reply to [livejournal.com profile] adafrog's comment, the bank might have make a mistake, too. So I'll pay the relatively small sum the gas company thinks I owe them, and then will go to the bank with all the papers to check them. Since this is the company that provides all Plattenbauten, they can pretty much demand whatever they can.

Sounds like the bank stuffed it up. I hate when that happens!

I wonder if the gas bill thing is a scam? Either way, it's going to be a pain to sort out. I thank goodness for online banking, although I know some folk don't like it.
