I had to postpone the Velcro sawing because I burned my finger by baking. Yeah, I've started the Easter baking today, making Nutella bunnies and coconut lambs. Just the cookies, mind you, the decoration will be done tomorrow and the day after. But since I'm only planning to make 7 sorts (one of which I might or might not leave out) I don't have to hurry.

So, no sewing today, but I've cut out all the little individual pieces of the castle puzzle page (that would be 60 pieces), matched the colours, fixed the pieces with double-faced tape, so that I'd know what comes where. Tomorrow I'll start with sewing on the softer parts; then we'll see.

We've washed the kitchen curtains today. Mum is planning to iron them tomorrow. I offered her to do it (I always offer) but she insists that she can do it herself. Yes, she can, but actually, she shouldn't, not with her bad shoulder and bad knee. But there are battles I just cannot win. *sigh*

Since I spent some 4-5 hours in the kitchen already, we decided to eat leftover soup and sandwiches for lunch. Thank God, I really wouldn't have the energy to cook today.

No blisters, fortunately, just a reddened patch from accidentally touching a hot baking tin. Bepanthen Plus is a miracle cure for such small owies.

As far as baking-related burns go, this is fairly minor. I just decided to give the injured party some time to recover. *g*

These are just little biscuits, but very yummy, too. And cute. Take a look:

These are from 2020, but the current ones are exactly like them — save for the black sheep. I forgot to make one this time. *g*

And then some. It is a very detail-heavy pattern.

I don’t cook much anymore, and really don’t bake, but I still recall those nasty burns. Hope it heals soon!

As kitchen burns go, this was a fairly mild one.

Get some rest, and I hope the burn isn't too bad!

Nah, it was fairly superficial. A couple of years ago I had a really bad one, having dropped the baking tin, freshly out of the oven, right onto my left hand. Now that was bad. It took months to heal completely.

Have you considered an ironing board that you can sit down at? I don't have one myself, but I've pictures of people doing that.

I know. One of the sisters in our convent had a crippled leg and did all the ironing sitting on a high stool. But Mum's bad shoulder wouldn't work that way.

I feel terribly lazy when I read about your days, lol. Burns, even mild ones, hurt. Hope yours gets better soon. The quiet books look deceptively simple to make, but are anything but —- 60 pieces, wow!
