Errr... no, not really. I just couldn't come up with a better subject line. Sorry.

Today was laundry day again. Plus I had to go to the post office, to the supermarket and to the newsletters' for a new German crossword puzzle book. Still, I managed to make the seals for the quiet book pages and even to write a little. Not much, but better than nothing.

The seals turned out very neat; unfortunately, the balls I've made in advance don't exactly work with the background the way I hoped they would. So, I'll either accept that they won't be as pretty as I envisioned them, or I'll make eight new balls, including the dratted buttonholes. I think you all know what I'll choose, right? Perhaps I'll add some star-shaped sequins to the background, this being a circus scene and all...

Update an hour later: Some idiot had just organized a private firework nearby, for reasons unknown. The sound and the light effects were truly disturbing. We couldn't see the firework itself, just hear the sounds and see the flashing lights - I must admit that the associations were frightening.

I am sure that the quiet will still be very loved, even if the balls did not turn out the way you wanted!

Oh, I don't doubt that! It's just frustrating that the things refuse to cooperate. ;)

I would have been unnerved by the sounds of fireworks going off, too. It's just not a time for being amused by exploding things.

I really did panic for a moment... until I saw the mirror image of the fireworks on the window planes of the opposite building. *shivers*

Talk about I’ll-timed! Those fireworks must have been scary.
Your book will be lovely, they always are. I hope you post some photos when it is completed!

I don't know why the idiots did it! It isn't like we would be having a national holiday or whatnot!

Yes, there will be photos, hopefully soon, I promise!

Hehe. Just noticed. Auto-correct got creative with “ill-timed”.

Auto-correct is the spawn of Evil. Especially with other languages. When I type "little" on the iPad, it always changes it for "lifttel", which means in Hungarian "with the elevator". *g*

Yes, I disabled auto-correct on my phone. I was texting embarrassing gibberish to everyone.

I hate fireworks in the best of times because they frighten the animals. :(

I actually like fireworks — when I know in advance they will be happening. Plus, in a big city like this the official ones are fired off from safe places.

How tactless of them, under the current circumstances.

Wow, how frightening, re: the fireworks. I have never been able to make button holes, even with a machine.
