My half-day off

Today I actually went into the city proper to meet Adri and her little son at the Allee Plaza. The plaza had coupon days; at least a great many shops had. Which means that we can buy everything 20% cheaper in those shops that participated. To my delight, the craft shop, the Lindt chocolate shop and the café where we met were among the participants, so i bought some hand-made Indian craft paper, the Easter gifts for Mum and myself and treated Adri to a mahoosive latte.Little Abel found our chatting and coffee drinking boring, so he escaped several times and Adri had to hunt him down but caught him every time. :)

In the early afternoon my other young friend, Alex, called, and we had a long, delightful phone chat for almost an hour. Days like this make life worth living.

I also worked a tiny bit on the quiet books. One of the beehives is halfways sewn on. Tomorrow I'll be more crafty.

It was wonderful — and long overdue! I miss being surrounded by people. In all the 40 years at work I always worked with people, even when I was in the cloister. It was challenging sometimes, but I still miss it.

Haha, yes, enjoying the presence of other people's little kiddies has the advantage that one can leave the child-hunting to the young parents. And yeah, it was a very nice day.

Actually, we just had the coffee together. Little Abel would have dismantled the plaza, had we tried to drag him to the shops, too. But you are right, it was a wonderful outing.
