This and that

I thought I'd give the DW importer another try today. In the (unlikely) case of success I can always delete last month's double entries manually, right? Backing up the lovely comments of you folks is more important... assuming it does work. Eventually.

Today was a crafty day again. I've made 4 page bases, 2-2 for the respective quiet books. They are the double pages with the bear and the beehive. I've sewn on the green stripe representing grass, decorated the beehives with flowers, gave the bears eyes and glued on the vertical brown stripes that will serve as holders for the honey pots. More Velcro in the immediate future. *sigh* Of course, I still have to make the bees, to finish the bears themselves and sew on the beehives once the bands and loops for the bees are fastened, so there is a lot of work on these pages yet, but at least the bases are done.

That about ate my day. I then cooked lunch and watched some telly. Nothing happened writing-wise, unfortunately, but one can't have everything, right?

Oh man, yeah, I hear it takes quite some patience until you hit a time window when the importer gets through. Good luck with that!

Yesterday all of my comments got imported, yet there´s apparently no way to bring over the photos :(

So far the entries got imported; I'm still waiting for the comments. I won't delete the double entries until the comments have arrived, just in case I have to repeat the process.

Correction: the comments have miraculously arrived, too!

I guess I'll just leave the computer running over night. Maybe I'm lucky.

Well, the comments needed 20 minutes to half an hour, but they have arrived — for the first time in months!

I just checked back in here after a long while. It hadn't occurred to me that it would be an issue but now I think I will have to be switching over to DW just based on principle. What is your user name there?

The same as here, but I'm not switching over to DW. This is my online home and I won't give it up voluntarily. I was here first, the little warmonger came long after me, so I'm staying here as long as LJ exists. DW is just a back-up, I'm not even active over there. Just import my LJ, so that I won't lose anything.
