I'm flattened

The insurance lady came some 40+ minutes later than originally arranged - too many phone calls from panicking clients. Then she was here for two hours... and talked. At least we did some transactions that might help me keep the value of my savings (she actually knows her sh*t), but my mind was completely blank when she left.

Since anything requiring two brain cells firing at the same moment was hopeless, I sew two bee hives for the planned quiet books.

I'm not planning to make all those pages, and I definitely won't use the characters from the Winnie-the-Pooh cartoon, but the activities will be fairly similar. As will be the two books, with the exception of the colours I intend to use. We'll see.

Alas, no writing today, and I've run out of crossword puzzles, too. The new books will come out next week - hopefully. I really need some intellectual stimulation!

Yes, not looking forward to my bank appointment next week.
I'm sure I'm a couple of thousand Euros poorer than I was last week.
Should have put the money under the pillow after all!

Even if I feel guilty — so many people have it so much worse than I do — I do worry about my superannuation balance and how all of the world's upheavals might affect it (and therefore my pension as I get older). I'm trying not to check too often, the last few years the balance has wobbled (start of covid, the disasters of 2020, and now) but I had enough and the fund appears to be managing it all pretty well... I hope.

But I do understand how you feel, our finances do feel more fragile than just a few years ago :(
