Waffles!

So, having watched The Great Australian Bake-Off, where one of the challenges was to make various sorts of waffles, Mum and I suddenly discovered our very great appetite for... you guessed it right, waffles! Consequently, today was waffles day, and we're both so full we can barely breathe. But, as Prue Leight would say, the waffles were worth all the calories!

Other than that, I finished another cat and started sewing on the paws of the last one. I think the whole project will be finished by Friday. *fingers crossed* They are the most ridiculous-looking, slightly asymmetrical cats, but I like them nonetheless. Still, I'll be glad when they're done and gone to their new homes, so that I might focus on my writing a bit - if I can.

Dunno, I for myself prefer sweet waffles. Which is why I'm fat like a pig.

Oh, all sorts of them! You can check out here (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Great_Australian_Bake_Off_(season_4)), it was Episode 6.

I'm not so bothered about waffles, although I'll certainly eat them when presented. ;) My downfall when I visited the US was pancakes. In the UK what we call pancakes are actually crepes, but I adore US pancakes.

US pancakes are too heavy for me. We make crepes. Well, we in the family make waffles, too, but not very frequently. IIRC, the last time was a year and a half ago.

Funny that you've mentioned waffles today! I've just read about waffles in a medieval book and I had no idea they were a 15th century thing and now I'm wonderingif the translation should have been pancakes or waffles. Good to hear the kitties are just about done. Asymmetry isn't a bad thing with kitties. :)

Did the book give a recipe, too? In any case, I think pancakes and waffles aren't all that different — only the method of making them. Batter is batter, after all.
