You gotta be kidding me, people! Where has the week gone again?

At least today was well-used: I made cheesy buns, improvised some lunch and almost finished the first cat plushie. I'm quite certain that I'll made the rest of them differently to spare me a lot of work, but we'll see. I've cut out the bases of 3 more kitties, so I can experiment.

The things basically consist of two identical, oblong pieces of flannel and some thin felt applications, so I hope they won't be too complicated to make. I've made the vague pattern myself, and since I'm a lazy git, I made sure it would be an easy one. ;))

The intended recipients are children and grandchildren of my (ex-)colleagues: a three-year-old, two two-year-olds and a one-year-old boy. At least I hope the kitties will be finished by the time the boys reach aforementioned age. *g*

I also had a nice phone chat with (ex-)colleague Erica; it's always lovely to hear of my girls, even though they are busy and I have to hunt them down regularly myself.

As for the rapidly spreading panic concerning LJ (again); I for myself intend to stay here as long as humanly possible. But I'm an old hag and hate changes, so my opinion probably doesn't count.

So do I. While the importer still worked, I imported my LJ to DW on the weekly basis. Now I have to copy-and-paste every single entry, which is annoying, but I find it important to have back-up.

I use LJ as my backup journal nowadays and manually crosspost from DW. A few of my friends are only on LJ, like yourself, so I will continue to maintain a presence there just to stay in touch.

Me too. I have never cross-poste to or from DW — I 'claimed my name' there when it was set up, purely to stop anyone else using it — but I really don't like it and haven't been there, even to read, for the past 5 or 6 years, maybe more.

I'm a member of a crafting community on DW, so I do visit the site daily, and cross-posting is a safety measure, but I greatly prefer LJ.

Ah, I understand! But no, I won´t leave LJ, and if my posts get lost — so be it! You can find me on DW under the same username, but I never added friends there, because I do not use it and always forget to crosspost. Besides, they say that crossposting does not work anymore...

It does not, and neither does the importer. I copy-and-paste my daily entries by hand because I don't want to lost count on my life. Time runs away from me so quickly, I need to know that I put every single day to good use.

Staying on lj, I rarely post except comments, so if I lose my old entries it won't matter. I created a DW account years ago, cross posted once and that was it. I am lazy. Cheesy buns sound delicious, in fact everything you make sounds delicious — sigh. I just finished a salad and am still hungry.

What annoys me is the holier-than-thou attitude of some people who demonstratively leave LJ as a protest against Russian politics. Get real, people, whom are you punishing by doing so? Putin won't care, and the only ones facing losses are we who are staying yet losing online friends!
