So, the digestion problems are back. I think I'll have to see a doctor about this, sooner or later. My personal theory is that either Sputnik or the virus itself has damaged my internal flora because when I take probiotics for two or three days straight, the problems stop for two-two and a half weeks. Then I'm back to spend half a night on the loo again and on yogurt, toast and boiled potato diet on the next day. Then I take my probiotics and the cycle begins from anew.

I'll go to a colleague whose husband is a doctor. Perhaps said husband can recommend me someone who is actually reliable, since our family doctor is... well, not someone I'd entrust my problem with. My hope is that they can prescribe me something that would help on the long run. *fingers crossed*

Today I made the second page of the baby book. I only forgot one detail (which I can add to a different page) and made one stupid mistake (which I could easily correct). So I consider that a success.

We had another visit from the physiotherapist and I had two long, nice phone chat with my friends Monica (our choir leader) and Evie. That made my day... and made up for a sleepless night.

Sounds like a good idea to get it checked out.

The baby book is coming along well then! It sounds like your small issues are easily solved too!

One learns how to camouflage one's mistakes when making enough of them. ;))

Yes, you’re quite likely right. Definitely worth seeing a doctor though.

I will. Eventually. Still haven't given up the hope that it will go away... even though I know how unlikely that is.

That's really sad you can't trust your doctor.

I'm sure she isn't a bad doctor, actually — she even trains medical students — but I always get the impression that she doesn't really care, and that makes me reluctant to turn to her. I wish our old family doctor were still alive. Even after he'd stopped practicing, one could at least ask him for advice, and that made me feel safe. But he was older than Mum and very ill at the end, alas.

Could you simply take a small amount of the yoghurt for breakfast every day? Yakult comes in wee bottles and is designed for that.

I do take yogurt every morning. Not Yakult but Activia, that is designed to support digestion, too.

I think it is right to get it checked out — hopefully it is just a touch of IBS.

Which is... what exactly?

Oh — sorry; Irritable bowel Syndrome. Mine has been a lot better since I retired — but did flare up at the beginning of the pandemic for a while, as it is stress sensitive.

Well, I've had a great deal of stress ever since Mum's accident — which had happened just five days before my first jab. So, either the jab, or the virus itself, or the stress... or any number of these three in any possible combination. *sigh*
