No, really. I haven't done anything extraordinary today - in fact, I haven't done anything ordinary, either, save for taking care of Mum and a bit of cooking and writing - and yet the day is almost over. I only got up 20 or so minutes later than usual, honestly! So where has the whole day gone? It is unfair!

The highlight of the day was emptying the post box, where I found a lovely Christmas card from [livejournal.com profile] akane42me that took almost a month cruising across the ocean but in the end it did find its way to our house. That was a very nice surprise. :)

You sure that it´s age that makes us feel so? Because daughter mine complained about the same, and she´s 22!

I don't know. It seems to me I had a lot more time for things to do when I was still working. Strange...

What do you think how quickly the day is over when you're stuck at work for 10+ hours? 😠

Back in the Stone Age I used to pull double shifts for months because the newly built school where I worked had 15 teachers less than they would need. I still didn't feel the days running away from me this quickly. *shakes head in bewilderment*

Chasing after other people does chop the day, it gets hard to do anything chunky as you are constantly pulled off focus. When you were at work, you had a lump of time devoted to focusing on it. Maybe...

At least it was definitely more predictable.

Isn't it nice? Especially considering what a miserable Christmas we had.

I'm finding the hours in the day seem much less as I get older too. What the heck!
