I've finished the kiddie bags:

They are not perfect, but I doubt that Elise's three granddaughters would terribly mind. Still, if I ever make anything like this again, I'll return to the rounded flaps. In hindsight, those look a lot better.

Elise called me today, BTW, to tell me how much the family (families, meaning her parents, her hubby, her two children and their families) loved the biscuits I made for them. We had a very lovely, lengthy chat, it really lifted my spirits.

Shortly thereafter my goddaughter (Little Emma's mother) called, too, and she got Emma to say "Happy New Year" through the phone. Spoiled kiddie was surprised that she couldn't see me - they all have smartphones with video function, or whatever it is called. She couldn't know she was talking to the two remaining dinosaurs of the family. *g*

On less joyful news, Mum seems to have a mild case of cold - just a runny nose and a bit of a cough. In other times we'd just shrug it off. But the evil virus that we won't name here has made us all a bit paranoid.

So do I, thanks. I hate seeing her so miserable. But that's what the common cold does to people.

Can you get testing kits? The latest version of the virus manifests as a cold in many vaccinated people. I hope Mum gets over it soon, whatever it is.

After some Aspirin and a Neocitran hot drink she simply shook off all the symptoms. She coughed about four times all day, so I hope we've snipped the thing in the bud. *fingers crossed*

I guess it will take a while before a cough becomes a piece of food in the wrong place again but I am sure we will reach it. For my part I do my best to keep my health good.

That is what we are trying, too. But one can't help worrying. *sigh*

True indeed, with all the scares we have had I do worry from time to time. *deep sigh* In the meanwhile we do our best.

Not good to have a cough now, though I am sure that it´s not the plague. Hopefully your mum will be back to good health soon!
Those bags are so very cute!

Thanks. :) Yes, Mum's back on her feet again, thanks the wondrous Aspirin and a Neocitran hot drink. So yeah, we're reasonably sure that it was just the beginning of a cold, which we've hopefully caught in time. *fingers still crossed, though*

Oh, and your icon is truly beautiful!

Those are cute little purses!

(and I hope your Mum feels better soon. It's so easy to worry these days.)
