Holy Innocents' Day
Dec. 28th, 2021 09:08 pmNot that we'd celebrate it in any particular way, but it is, yeah.
I celebrated it with writing a couple of pages for Timescapes, Chapter 19. I also typed up the first half of the finished Chapter 18. If I keep up the momentum for the next two or three days, I might even post the chapter still in this year. That would be neat.
Crafting-wise I decided to make little girls' handbags for the three granddaughters of my friend Elise. They're gonna be like these:

Just from differently patterned sheets of felt and with a slightly modified design. I'll keep them as Easter gifts, most likely, but I feel like sewing something for a change, and these are very easily made. I've already cut out the basic design, the rest is lots of blanket stitches in front of the telly. *g*
Not much else happened today. I tried to make lunch that won't upset our stomachs and seem to have succeeded, although I don't want to declare victory too early. God, I hate it that nowadays I always have to consider whether we'll be able to eat what I'd like to cook. It isn't so that we'd eat fatty or spicy or otherwise heavy food - and there's simply no pattern to the whole thing. So: either Covid, or side effects of the vaccine, or stress-related - or all three together.
The funny thing is that we both have it. That is, Mum's had a weak stomach for a couple of decades by now, but it happened on random intervals, not all the time. Grandma before her was the same. Me, though, I never had such problems. Perhaps I'm getting old and the curse of the Borsoviczky women has caught up with me, too?
