Advent, Day 13

Otherwise known as St. Lucia's day. Just sayin'...

I've decorated two batches of cookies I'd baked yesterday; that took half my day, but it was worth the effort. I'm very satisfied with the results. I'll finish the other two batches tomorrow, when I get back from the hairdresser's. Got an appointment today because I look like a Neanderthal again; a particularly depressed one.

The physiotherapist called today and cancelled her visit that would have been due tomorrow as she's been tested Covid-positive. Now Mum is quietly panicking a bit but tries to take it with dignity. Poor thing...

Not much else happened. I'm a bit tired, and as much as I enjoy my baking orgy, I'm relieved that I'll be done in another session... hopefully. *fingers crossed*

Sadly, yes, although in her case it isn't really surprising, as she works in a big hospital - including the Covid ward. Fortunately, it seems to be a mild case, with a running nose and headaches, but still...

I've been baking too, I have an almond cake in the oven right now.
Yesterday some crazy woman grabbed me in the damn Target, what the hell is wrong with people? If I get covid it's her fault.

A friend of mine minted the term "spoon cake"; it meant all baked goods that stuck to the pan and had to be scratched out and eaten with a spoon. *g*

I can understand Mum panicking. I think I would, too. You have taken all the precautions you can, however, and you've had a 100% success at staying clear so far.

I can understand your mother´s reaction. Way more people get tested positive than last year, when we did not even have vaccines.
