Sooo, I've baked the next 4 batches of biscuits. That about took half the day. These are the very fancy ones, with filling and icing and all that, so I'll have to finish them tomorrow. For today, I'm done in.

Mum and I decided to eat leftovers, after all - we had soup and boiled pasta from yesterday and I added some chopped ham and a couple of eggs to the latter; it was yummy. While eating, we watched Kirstie's Handmade Christmas; the thing has grown on us lately, perhaps because so very little that's going on in our home is truly Christmass-y.

Mum came up with the idea of having the Christmas tree in the living room instead of the balcony, since we have the artificial monstrosity now that doesn't needle (so much). I'm not keen on the idea, as we'll have to walk around the thing for at least a month, but Mum has made up her mind, and in some things it's easier to give in.

I've sent the photo of the most recent batch of biscuits around to the recipients. They were duly impressed. I'll insist on photos of their families admiring (and eating) the end results. I think I've earned that, haven't I?

I'm completely in awe of your baking projects! Yes, you definitely deserve photos of the recipients eating those beautiful treats! And what a treasure those photos will be!

All I've baked is one batch of 5 dozen cut-out cookies, which are undecorated and hiding in the freezer until Wednesday, when my granddaughter and I will decorate them:)

Rick is putting up the Christmas tree today. It's huge, it's artificial, and he's had to replace the star on top and all of the lights. Fortunately, we have oodles of spare lights, so the only thing he had to purchase was the star. He had to go to three stores before he found one, because everything's sold out.
Next year, we may get a new tree.

Over here, we don't put up the tree until Christmas Eve, but keep it until February 2 in exchange — now that it's artificial. But a real tree could pull through on the unheated balcony for almost as long.

This year I'll put up all the popsickle items I made for the Christmas charity fair that never took place because the pandemic. Perhaps next year they'll find a new owner. *fingers crossed*

Checking in. Ryan is now officially on break. I will drive dear husband to the surgery doctor tomorrow for his 2nd followup. We'll find out then whether he can drive or if he has to wait longer. Keeping my fingers crossed. Seems you have been busy with not just your baking, but crafts and other projects. Just thinking about all you do makes me tired, lol. The baked goods you have posted all look lovely and delicious. Your friends are so lucky! My two tries at baking were for my son's school parties. We together baked two batches of brownies, one from a box and the other from scratch. Not surprisingly, his friends and us liked the box mix brownies best. I/we may have cooked the batch from scratch a tad too long. They were drier than the boxed mix, and 10 times as rich. SAdly, for all that work, not nearly as tasty. I hope that is the last time I bake brownies for awhile.

Days are flying by here, only 12 days left until Christmas, wow! If I don't post before then, I wish both you and your Mum a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Wishing you and your loved ones all the best, too. It's so good to hear from you from time to time, I always get worried when my online friends become quiet for too long. *hugs*
