Lazy Friday

Well... relatively lazy anyway. I did all the grinding and chopping I'll need for tomorrow's baking session, and I cooked that potato cream soup Mum loves so much, but other than that, not much else was done.

Granted, my friend Eenie dropped by in the afternoon - we had a masked cookie box exchange in front of our building: she gathered her full cookie tin and left an empty one for me to put future cookies into it. We even chatted for about a 15 minutes. And in the early evening my friend Evie called, which lasted for an hour or so. Yay for social life!

Otherwise we are doing well. The arm is better, thanks to the icing, and I'm not so exhausted anymore. Mum is fine and in good spirits - she's a tough cookie, unlike me. ;)

Oh, and I started Christmas Gift Fic #4 last night, which is a great achievement on my part.

Baking has always been very relaxing for me. And the fact that I help ten other women this way is a great motivation.

I readily admit that I'm mildly obsessed. But since this is the only Christmassy things that I actually can do, I do it with grim determination. Besides, it also means that ten overworked women (some of them pregnant, some of them with small children or grandchildren and some simply busy beyond belief) won't have to do any significant Christmas baking.

And, of course, it also means that I'll virtually be under ten other Christmas trees when the time comes, which is as much social life as I get in these days.
