The start of the baking frenzy

I've baked the planned 6 sorts of Christmas cookies today. You can follow my progress via The Great Baking Masterpost(TM), aka the pinned entry. The names in bold font are the cookies already baked.

I did a bit of experimenting. I coloured spikesgirl58's double ginger cookies red, so that they'd look like spicy apples, and the banana cookies green. Unfortunately, the latter ones turned out looking like a bunch of frogs that got run over by a truck. So I'll have to do some decorating to lessen the effect. :/

This basically ate my whole day, but I enjoyed it tremendulously (Sp?). Tomorrow will be decorating day, with cake melts, icing, little sugar ornaments and the likes. I'm getting in festive mood already!

Actually, it is fun — unless one is constantly interrupted, which happens here frequently.

I really am in awe of your baking. I haven't made anything like that from scratch for so long, but my goodness, the cost of those ingredients, and colours and stars and essences and nuts! Nuts cost so much here. I really can't afford to do that kind of baking. Still, it looks really amazing and so tasty!
