We had guests today

My young friend Adri was here with her one-year-old little sunshine. They were meant to bring tin boxes for their share of the Christmas cookies - only that they didn't find any. So I'll lend them some until they can hunt down a few. Regardless, we enjoyed our time together, even though we all were wearing masks, just to be on the safe side. Adri is currently at home, on maternity leave with the little one, and we don't go out much, so we decided to risk being normal people for a short time.

Now I'm waiting for my other friend, Elise, to drop off the small mountain of margarine she planned to bring over two days ago but could not due to family obligations.

I also tried to register Mum and myself for our third jab but the website isn't working properly at the moment. Gah, I hate this online business!

Fingers crossed you can get your booster soon. I was frantic until Maman got hers, but then I don't trust her not to misbehave!

Thanks. The really annoying part is that we could have got our booster mid-September at the family doctor's practice, where Mum could have walked on her own, but she didn't want it/was afraid of it/whatever. Now I have to wrestle with barely functional websites and call the private transport firm (which costs a small fortune) to get her there — if we are very lucky and manage to register in the first place!

Apparently, between November 22 and 28 there will be the chance to simply go to these centres and get one's jab just like that, but I can't take her there that way. I'll go myself, if there isn't any other chance, but I don't even want to think of the crowd and the long queues that will be there at that time... 🤯

So do I! Now that we've missed our golden opportunity and it costs lots of money and effort to get the dratted jab, she is panicking, of course, that we might be too late... *sigh*

Waiting for the booster, too, but I know out of experience that this won´t take place before Christmas. Wish you luck with the registration, I know how hard this can be if the server does not work properly because of too many wanting too much information at the same time!
