I went on a shopping spree...

... with my friend Evie. First we went to the discount craft shop - which happened to have moved in the meantime, so we had to hunt down the new location. We succeeded by accident and bought a few small items, each. Even so, small items at a discount price proved expensive enough. But since I don't drink, don't smoke, don't go to horse races or spend money on women, I could afford it. ;)

Then we went to Aldi, where I bought almost everything I need for the big baking orgy that's to start next week. The only thing I didn't get were the pistachios; plus I chose to buy the margarine at Lidl later on because the brand they sell are softer and easier to work with.

Evie then gave me a belated birthday gift (she was ill when I had the party and couldn't participate): a beautiful, knitted throw. I'm very happy with it. We also talked a bit and I showed off my popsicle creations, which impressed her to no end. She decided to give the craft a try herself.

I had two other lengthy phone calls, with my friends and (ex-)colleagues, Alex and Ilonka, which was really nice. Social life and shopping, all on one day - it's a rare treat in these days.

Nope. I'm tempted to go to the Bioladen and look, although that would gave astronomical prices, I'm afraid. But my friend Gaby says they sometimes even have pistachio paste, which would be a good investment. Besides, why sit on my money? I've no-one to inherit after me, right? But if actual pistachios appear at Aldi, I intend to put a stock into the freezer, just in time.
