WTF, FF.Net?

wiseheartFF.Net has a wonderful new feature. Whenever you want to read an actual story, it checks out your browser. It supposed to take 5 seconds. Last time it took at least twenty. And my tablet is old and apparently slowing down because I couldn't wait for its browser to be checked (or it's terribly outdated, which is why the checking process just restarts every 15 seconds and leads to nothing).
It doesn't do the checking thingie when you want to read the reviews to a story. Or to access the author's bio page. Is this some sort of anti-plagiarism action or simple idiocy? I vote for the latter. It's the Pit of Voles, after all.
Oh, and BTW, the Dreamwidth importer still doesn't work for me.
