Small things can eat your whole day, too!
Oct. 29th, 2021 06:02 pmToday promised to be uneventful, so I thought I'd do some small tasks that needed to be done anyway.
First I made apple sauce (flavoured with my home-made ginger syrup) because it's needed to
spikesgirl58's extra yummy double ginger cookies, which I intend to make this year again.
Then Mum and I went through some boxes, threw out a few items and selected others for gifts. Including a whole wooden box of eating utensils that Grandma has inherited from someone but we've never used and it's unlikely that we ever will. We agreed to give it to Evie for Christmas, as December 24 is also her birthday, and she has a big family and never enough spoons and forks and knives.
Then I made
curiouswombat's amazing ginger-carrot soup because we haven't had that one for too long.
Then I made vague attempts to rearrange some things in my craft cupboard... well, it didn't work, but I'll try a different attempt again.
Then I gave these pretty paper stars another try. My first attempt didn't end up too well because the paper I used was too thick and too hard. Now I recycled the sparkly silver wrapping paper in which Evie brought me her present yesterday. This time the star turned out better, but I still couldn't insert the sixth point. No idea why. It seems I have to accept that my stars will be five-pointed. Things can be really strange sometimes.
