I feel like a Hobbit

I've been baking for two days. I've made a banana bread, cheesy buns, spinach pancake cubes, sausage rolls (with Wiener Würstchen) and a chessboard sponge cake. Now let's hope at least some of the invited guests will show up tomorrow, or I'll be unbearable for a while.

Nothing else happened, save for a short trip to Lidl for some fruit juice and cooking lunch (Mary Berry's Chicken Pasta Bake - yum!). I simply didn't have the time for anything else.

Well, it's certain now that Evie won't be able to come. She's still quite ill and doesn't want to carry her germs to us, which is very considerate, but we'll still miss her.

I understand her attitude. At the birthday party of my friend's grandson the opa, though divorced from my friend, came and brought the same germs into the young family. Son-in-law ended up in hospital care, the rest was out for some days.
