But still, I made two popsicle Christmas trees. More than nothing, right?
I also made a food run, worked a bit on my "Pathways" timeline - the Charmed episodes seem to fit in with a bit of force - and started organizing my 65th birthday party.

The latter will be rather modest, with only a couple of people placed in distance in the living room, all windows opened (let's hope the weather will cooperate) and Mum exiled into my room for her own safety. We might be all twice vaccinated (save for the 1-year-old visitor), but better safe than sorry. So far we are up to 4 guests (include the 1-year-old), two of which are usually at home all the time and the other two I meet regularly anyway. So I decided to take the risk and am praying that it won't prove a mistake.

Edit: Another stay-at-home young mum's just checked in - that means two one-year-olds! *g*

I'm so looking forward to it! We'll be as careful as humanly possible, of course, but the soul needs its food, too.

Planning a birthday party should be fun, but we always have that darn corona on our mind!

Sadly, that is very true. But I've decided that I won't let it steal my 65th birthday — after all, it is an important one — the same way it stole my holidays and generally my joy in life. We're gonna be careful, but we will have a bit of joy in our lives.

Hopefully your birthday plans won't be thwarted! I feel happier in a circle of people I usually see (not that many) and I've voluntarily missed a few events just because I feel some of the other people attending aren't that careful with their mask-wearing etc. A small, happy gathering will be nice!
