Snowflakes and stars:

Aren't they cute? The little angels will come later when I'll have more than just two of them.

Oh, and I talked to Theo on the phone because he'd turned 6 the day before yesterday! (His birthday gift - the kiddie cooking book and the oven mittens - are still here, unfortunately. But I'm planning to dare the perils and go out to them in two weeks' time.)

They're lovely - I do like the snowflakes in particular.

The snowflakes look really good; and they're quick and easy to make, once you've painted all the sticks. Which I've done in advance months ago, so I could make a snowflake in 20 minutes, tops.
I forgot to add: the cardboard stars have been hand-coloured in advance, too.

Not mine, I'm afraid — stolen from Pinterest. *g*

So pretty, especially the snowflakes! What did you use for glue?

Some sort of Universalkleber I bought at Kik. Wet glue on water basis. I also added a layer of double-sided tape at each joint, just to make them hold. And the crystal stickers are self-adhesive, fortunately.

Those are just fabulous. I like the magnum style sticks being used to add extra shape. So many clever people.

It was born out of necessity, really, because for a while I didn't have any other ones. But I agree with you, they look good.

I like the snowflakes the best. :) Are the sticks thinner in the middle?

Unfortunately, they aren't. It makes getting them all on the same level a bit tricks, but it is doable.

I love both stars and snowflakes. They are so delicately decorated that I can understand why they took so long to create. Beautiful!

The decoration is not the problem, assuming one has the little things prepared in advance. Getting the ornament on the same level is the tricky part.

Those are so pretty! You've done much better than me with the stars — I always seemed to get a point where there would be two too far apart to stick properly!

I've run into the same problem with the red one, but solved it by cutting out two layers of thick felt and glueing them into the gap. At least I hope it will work in the long run. ;)

Adorable! I'm going to see my daughter in law and granddaughters this morning at the library, and I am going to show them your photo! This is a great craft idea.
