Our hairdresser paid us a visit today, since Mum isn't in any shape to travel across half the city (with changing trams in the process) just yet. Mum got a good, solid perm and I got a much-needed haircut. Now we look like two respectable old hags instead of two homeless alcoholics.

While Mum was getting her perm I worked a bit on the mini-mittens. I made good progress. Soon I won't have any valid excuse for not starting the actual Christmas project (=the popsickle things) in earnest. *g*

Hair-wise? You bet I did! I've got very thin hair, and if it grows just a bit longer than about 4-5 centimetres it is a terrible sight. Mum has thick hair but since she has to lie down at least once a day, it stands upright afterwards like the plum of a parrot. *g*

I cackled out loud at the 'homeless alcoholics' line. I am intimately acquainted with that look.

Homeless alcoholics! This made my day! I fear I have adapted myself to that hair style during the first months of covid restrictions. Only that I do not have a hairdresser who pays a visit anymore. There“s a lot of job changes going on in this country!

We're very lucky with our hairdresser, now that Mum can't go to their salon anymore. I still hope that one day we'll be able to do it again, but until then, I'm grateful that she's willing to come to us.

Fresh hair is the best! It really gives a whole fresh feel to looking in a mirror!
