The return of light
Sep. 17th, 2021 05:45 pmIt's incredible how much it can lift one's mood when natural light is once again allowed to come into the flat. Even on a day like today, when the skies were mostly clouded and it even rained from time to time. I was so depressed by the gloomy surroundigs, aka brown packing paper on all the windows, I could spontaneously break out in tears sometimes.
Blinder guys came today, thank God, and put the things back in their place. Well, actually not a single blind got back to its original place, despite the fact that I had marked them (with permanent marker, which I'll have to get rid of with nail polish remover at some future time), but since they are all the same size, it doesn't really matter. They're back and they seem to work better than before. I'll have to check them over and over in the next two days; blinder guys come to our neighbour on Monday, which would be an excellent chance to get any possible problems fixed.
I've done a little bit of crafting as well. Small sewing projects are good to soothe one's nerves when waiting for workmen. The little mittens with the snowflake pattern are all finished and I cut out the patterns for the next batch: little felt hearts. I also cut the ribbons for hanging to the right size and even made the first lolly stick snowflake with dark green starts on all ends and small, shiny craft stones in their middles. There'll be photos later when I've made more from both things. My storage space on the iPad mini has nearly reached its limit, so I'll have to take photos of more things at once.
I'm planning to do a bit of transcribing today, and then we'll watch re-runs of TGBBO with Mum - the best entertainment of the day.
