Behold my wobbly peach tart:

Basically, it is Mary Berry's wobbly apricot tart recipe. Only with peaches because I didn't have canned apricots in the house; but I did have four cans of peach halves. In any case, it looks very authentic - and it is very yummy.

Other than that, we are still working on recreating the original configuration of our flat. Some serious progress has been made but there still is a lot of work to do.

I have to admit that I never did a recipe of Mary Berry. But your cake looks fabulous!

It tastes fabulous, too.
Sometimes there are programmes on the telly where she shows how she makes this or that, and when I find the results appealing, I google for the recipe. This is one of those cases. I got hooked on her while watching "The Great British Bake-Off". You might know the German version, "Das Große Backen".

I downloaded a book with Christmas recipes and one with easy cake recipes she wrote onto my kindle account. The first one was free...

Oh, I see. I'm one of those old-fashioned dinosaurs who like to have everything on paper. Besides, I don't even have a Kindle...

Yay! You're back to baking. I used a bag of frozen strawberries to make a fruit cobbler the other day. It was yummy.

I don't know what's a cobble, but it sounds yummy. And yeah, for me baking is positively therapeutic.

Not a cobbler! What was I thinking. It was a fruit crumble.

I have way too many cookery books. That's why I do not buy new ones. Shelves are full...

That looks really good — I must give it a try. I'd probably do peaches, too, as I am the only person in the family who likes apricots.

Actually, it is better with apricots. Peaches are a bit too sweet, together with all that marzipan. But one has to use what one has in the cupboard.
