Gah, I finally managed to update my own website. Not much of it, but I did upload the last four finished chapters of Innocence. I've been neglecting that poor website far too long...

I'd love to upload everything I've written during the recent year, but it only has 10.3 MB space left. I've got to think economically. I did establish a sister site at Topcities, but I'm still not sure how to make it work. Which is frustrating, as Topcities gives one 150 MB of free space. I wish I weren't such an idiot when it comes to web skills. *sighs*

Oh, trust me, I didn't manage to set it up alone! I'm too much of an idiot for that. A friend did all the ground work, all I do is uploading the html files. I can't even make the pictures appear, although three different people tried to talk me through the process by e-mail.

If it makes you feel any better, you are not alone! It takes me a day, sometimes two to update my website. And then I have to pray that I did not make a mistake somewhere and have to do it all over again!

That's why I use Geocities. It's idiot proof, as long as all I want to post is text. I can create the .html file with FrontPage Express or directly through Word 95 and simply upload them to the site.

Now, the high art to make *pictures* appear, I still haven't mastered. After two years... *g*

Are you sure that you need more than 10MB of space? My entire domain currently only fills around 14MB, including several databases.

Not at the moment, I don't actually need more. But by the speed my stuff multiplies, one day it won't be enough.

Besides, should I figure out how Topcities work, I might actually be able to handle the Edhellond archive one day.

I don't have a shiny Mithril button yet - not that I'd know about it anyway. Are they going to send it or do we have to go to the site and fetch it?

Besides, since I'm not able to make pictures appear, I very much doubt that I'd be able to post the button.

I think the buttons are sent with the judges' feedback, which is being sent out at the moment. (I'm still waiting for mine, as well - perhaps it's being done in alphabetical order.)

I can try to help with the pictures, if you like - I used Geocities a few years ago.
