We've attacked the long-overdue wardrobe clearing today. Two large bags of clothes will go to charity (my friend Elise regularly takes such stuff to a small village where the need is great), another bag with really old and ruined clothes will go to the garbage bin. Our neighbour has accepted the ice cream cups (made of stainless steel) for taking it to the school of her grandson where they'll be put to good use, especially since they aren't breakable. Certain friends and colleagues have accepted serviette rings, baking forms and so on.

So yeah. The whole mess is about to bring us some relief. We still have more stuff than we can reasonably use, but at least we've got rid of a lot, and it will go somewhere where it can still be used.

Daughter-in-law did the same, brought old clothes to Romania. Covid put an end to that. Now those clothes get collected in containers, then during night some of those containers get forced open, and you might find your old wardrobe on a private flea market. Not fair, some people making money with articles that were never supposed to come into their posession!

No indeed.

There is something very satisfying about finding people or places that can make use of the things you no longer need or want, I find.

Sorting things is always a chore but you always feel great once it's done! I did it with my stationnery and srapbooking things during my holiday and I managed to clear a lot of space!

I don't even dare to think about the — sorely necessary — rearranging of my craft cupboard. I still haven't come up with a system that would actually work. For some reason I always need just the thing that's in the farthest corner...

Having a good clear out is always so cathartic. I have just tidied up my food storage cupboard. Who really needs spices that went out of date three years ago?

Yeah, that happens with me about spices from time to time, too.

I'm in the midst of doing the same. Such a chore, but so worth it in the end.

Definitely! Free storage space is for the win!
