I met people today!

I had to go to school to order my eggsies, and my best friends/colleagues - Evie and Elise - were there, for totally different reasons. Evie had to work with Boss Woman on the timetable for English lessons and Elise, who's just retired, is still emptying cupboards, etc. We commandeered an empty classroom for about 15 minutes and sat there, in safe distance, catching up on stuff. It was wonderful.

Wie schön, dass sich manchmal solche Gelegenheiten ergeben! Ich weiß nicht, wie es dir dabei ergeht, aber seit Covid über uns bestimmt, brauche ich mehr als 15 Minuten, um überhaupt einmal aufzutauen. Gerade so, als ob ich vergessen hätte, wie man Konversation macht!

Das stimmt schon, aber ich bin immer etwas nervös wenn ich Mutti allein zu Hause lasse, so hatte ich es nicht gewagt, zu lange zu bleiben. Besonders da ich nachher auch noch einkaufen mußte. :(

Yay, people! I don’t know how crazy I would be if I didn’t live with others. And I’m an introvert; I can only imagine how hard it is for extroverts. Some people I know online are really suffering with the isolation of lockdowns and quarantines. This has been such a trying, difficult period.
I’m off to get a covid test today — it seems my luck has run out. Or it’s extreme hayfever. Really, really extreme hayfever! (I’m trying to convince myself — the wattle trees are flowering, it must be hayfever!)
