Because yes, one can be crafty even in the middle of an unholy mess. In fact, it helps keeping one's sanity (such as it is in these days) in the middle of aforementioned unholy mess. So yeah, I've been crafty yesterday and I've been crafty today, and as a result, the baby book is almost finished.

See pages 6 and 7:

Again, mirroring pages. The left-side tag says: "This smile can clear up a rainy day". The right-side tag says: "Twinkle, twinkle, little star." And when we turn the tags around, this is what we see:

And then here comes Page 8 - basically the last page of the whole book:

I've been saving this small piece of paper with the hummingbirds for years, but I think it fits very well into the general appearance of the book. And when we open the flap, we see behind the birds this:

On the left side it says: "Joy of our hearts", on the right-side tag: "Dance with the stars". And if we turn the tag around, it looks like this:

So, as I said, the book is all but finished. I'll add some more decoration to the column and perhaps change some very small details, but all in all I'm happy with it.

Thank you. It went faster than expected; perhaps because I've done similar designs already. Once I've figured out the binding system, the rest of it was fun.

I bought a lot of them by Aldi; the rest are Stamperia scrapbook papers.
I'm glad you approve of the book. It's for a grandmother-in-spe, and the approval of an active grandmother shows that I must have done something well. ;)

Life's not bad. I'm working long hours and I've been on a writing kick lately just not on the things I probably should be working on. But I figure any writing is better than another dry spell.
