A peasure trip

So, Evie and I managed to make our trip to the Remo Hobby craft discount. Not so discount-y in these days, it seems; I was a bit surprised by the prices. Probably because the loss of income during the lockdown. Still cheaper than any of the fancy craft shops in the shopping centers, though, so I'm not complaining.

I didn't buy much stuff, actually. Only two packages of wooden sticks - the sizes one can't get from ice cream ;) -, two small packages of star-shaped sequins (gold and bronze, they are really very pretty), a small jar of silver-coloured acrylic paint, some laser-cut wooden figurines and a sheet of scrapbook paper that had baby boys on one side and baby girls on the other one. Even so, the end sum shocked me ever so slightly. That's the problem with little things that don't cost too much... alone. But one piece comes to the other, and the end... well, I had enough money on me, so it wasn't a problem.

Besides, I don't drink alcohol, I don't smoke, I don't spend money on women or horse races - I need an expensive passion, too.

It is very hot today again. After getting home, Mum and I had lunch and practically lay flat for a couple of hours before making our trip down the stairs and onto the street. Today we managed to get to the next entrance of the building, which is a handsome distance if one goes with the help of crutches.

I like working with them. Wearing them... not so much. I'm not shaped to suit them, I guess.

You don't need to be any particular shape to wear a scarf, and I just wear what I like that fits and give the finger to anybody who says I shouldn't be wearing it. :)

I don't really care what other people say about my wardrobe. I just don't think I'm a sequin person, that's all.

When working I marked my students´ instrument cases with sequins, so that they would not mix up so often. Looks pretty and is very efficient!

Stairs on crutches is no mean feat. I don't have your Mum's problems and I am scared of stairs nowadays.

I'm always scared a bit when she's climbing the stairs, but she has to do so, to strengthen the leg.
