But since Saturday is laundry day in our house, that was to be expected. Mum has checked her records and discovered that it was time to change the beds, so we'll have another bout of laundry tomorrow. Joy!

But at least I didn't have to cook today - yay for leftovers! - and so I've finished colouring my tiny, tiny cardboard stars... all 72 of them! Now they're white or silver or gold or red or blue. First step done, individual decorating is coming up. Eventually.

I also managed to wrestle that pesky filler scene into its knees, so at least some writing progress was made, too. I actually might finish this sucker before [livejournal.com profile] picowrimo ends its summer session. Or winter session, for those Down Under among us.

The big hailstorm yesterday caused temperatures to drop considerably. Unfortunately, the effect only lasted until late morning. Now it's quite hot again. Weather forecast promised more rain in the upcoming days - I don't know what I should wish, considering the balcony and all. *sigh* Mum's joints definitely don't like these drastic weather changes.

I could do without rain, too, if my balcony was leaking! Still not sure when the roofer will come to do repair work on our house, because those thunderstorms with hail did so much damage on other houses. There“s so many ornaments for Christmas done with popsicle sticks on Pinterest. I especially love the tiny nativity ornaments!

I fully intend to make some of those, too. They're simply adorable!
Hopefully, the roofer will come to repair your house, soon.

Hail is a bit annoying! I hope it didn't damage anything!

It's great to hear the tiny cardboard stars are finished! It's always a good feeling to cross part of a project off, even if there's more to do.

Laundry is an ongoing thing but there's nothing like fresh sheets on the bed, and if it's hot, the others will dry quickly!

I can't imagine coloring 72 tiny stars, that would drive me crazy!

At second count there were actually only 70 of them, but still a lot of finicky work.
I didn't do all at once, though. I worked on them a bit when I had half an hour or so at my hands.

Yay leftovers!

Glad it wasn't quite so hot.
