I had to go to the Savoy Park shopping centre today - all of 2 tram stops from home - because my German TV magazine has run off. Plus, I needed to buy some milk for the weekend... what exciting perspectives, aren't they?

But... the place has several shops that - while not exactly craft shops - sell craft supplies. Sometimes even such as I need. So I gave in and bought a sticker set and ironing-on motives at KIK, as well as some very pretty patterned felt sheets, googly eyes in various colours and sizes and even some wooden sticks (like the popsickle ones) at Pepco. The latter was fairly unexpected and surprisingly cheap, so I won't have to eat bad ice cream for the rest of my life.

Craft supplies are so terribly addictive! I always fill my basket with stuff during my first round in the shop; then I make a second, a third and a fourth round and gradually move back 90% of the stuff onto the shelves. Because I really don't need industrial amounts of them.

Which doesn't mean I won't go back tomorrow for even more pretty, patterned felt. Even Mum admitted that it's very pretty and reasonably priced. So there. ;)

Other than that, I wrote another full scene for my [livejournal.com profile] picowrimo goal, made Rösti for lunch and now I'm steadfastly avoiding to watch the Switzerland/Spain game. Because I'd like the Swiss to win, and I bring bad luck for every team I'd like to cheer on.

I'm almost glad to be hopeless when it comes to online shopping. I won't be able to fit into my room otherwise.

There is something so very tempting about crafting supplies.

I watched the match — they must have been exhausted by the end.

That, and the fact that Xhaka couldn't participate because of two previous yellow cards. A shame, really. I so wished for Switzerland to win. :(

Craft supplies, ooh! So difficult not to get squirrelly and store all the supplies! I have a passion for pretty rice paper and origami paper. I had one large underbed box that stores my watercolours and drawing supplies and all craft stuff. I told myself that that was all I could have. Guess who bought a second storage box?
And I can’t even use my painting/drawing stuff because my hands shake too much.
And I haven’t even mentioned all the boxes of jewellery supplies, beads etc that I can’t use anymore, but can’t get rid of because it is too pretty. Aah.

The prettiness is an important factor in these areas. ;)

I hear that about being bad luck. When Mom and Paul used to watch football I was banned from the living room during game time! I'm a total jinx! Lol!

I need to do some serious ditching of supplies from my craft stash, so I dare not buy more...other than dress fabric.

Yeah, storage space — or the lack thereof — is always a problem. But so far I've always managed to make room for more. *g*

Craft supplies are a secret kind of addiction. So hard to not buy them when they're for sale at a good price.

I have gifted my craft supplies to my grandchildren and their mothers some years ago. If I need something I will have to re-buy. Usually at the end of November I realise that maybe some of the crafting things might be helpful at that moment. But Amazon is very helpful and delivers in record time.

On one of these days somebody ought to teach me how this online shopping is done.
